    Fellow members,
There are a series of bills intended to make life very difficult for “Government employee unions.” In Arizona, the argument that Government employee unions are out of control is completely baseless. This is a right to work state, and most cities don’t have collective bargaining.

Four State Senators from the Valley stood up against SB-1182, the so-called “Paycheck Protection Act.” This bill would have made it difficult to continue the practice of payroll deduction of union dues. This bill is based on assumptions that may be true in other states, but not Arizona.

The membership often asks, “How can I help?” This is simple. Send an email, or telephone the following Senate offices and let them you appreciate them standing strong against patently unfair laws. This will only take a few minutes of your time, but can help ensure these Senators know that their stand on issues that affect our ability to represent our membership is truly appreciated. Thank you in advance for taking a couple of minutes and showing these Senators that their stance is appreciated.

    Thank you for your effort!
