Avondale Police Association Charities, AZFirearms.com, and the 100 Club of Arizona, are teaming up to raise funds for an Avondale Police Officer injured in the line of duty on October 23, 2014. Officer Mike McGhee sustained serious injuries and may be rehabilitation for up to a year.
To assist him and his family, AZFirearms.com has graciously donated a custom made precision .223 caliber rifle manufactured by Head Down, a retailed value of over $1500, to be raffled off. AZ Firearms is a staunch supporter of law enforcement and outstanding business in the City of Avondale.
The 100 Club of Arizona has made it their mission “to provide immediate financial assistance to families of public safety officers and firefighters who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, and to provide resources to enhance their safety and welfare.” The 100 Club of Arizona has been fulfilling that mission since 1968 and continues to support the public safety community in many ways.
The raffle starts on December 15, 2014 and the drawing is tentatively planned for Saturday, February 14, 2015. If all tickets are sold well before February 14th, a new drawing date will be selected and announced to all participants. Tickets will be $10 each with a maximum of 5 tickets per each transaction. Only 1000 tickets will be sold to give participants increased odds of winning. Proceeds of the raffle will primarily go to Officer Mike McGhee, with portions to both Avondale Police Association Charities and the 100 Club of Arizona. Tickets can be purchased at AZFirearms.com located at 215 E. Western Ave, Avondale, AZ, or by calling them at (623) 925-2345. Tickets may be purchased by check, debit card, or credit card.
Avondale Police Association Charities would like to thank everyone involved in this find raising effort and appreciates the support of all who donate to this worthy cause.
